Copenhagen 9/2 2020. 33 cl can from Mikkeller Webshop. Weird tall but thin can with a strange illustration by Alexander Jansson of a figure with a puppet theater for a head. Pretty cool drawing reminding me of Dave McKean.
Pours murky purple with a medium-sized pink head. Bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy and flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, sweet and tart at the same time. Sweet berry jam with a light sugary quality. Black currants. Tart forest berries peeking in. Fresh grass. Lightly herbal.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed and balanced by a medium strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is and acerbic with a light sweetness underneath. Lingers for a while. Dry vinous finish.
Fairly well balanced for a Berliner Weisse with the tart dryness reminding me of white Wine winning out in the end. And a damn beautiful can.

A 330ml can, with a best before date of 13th September 2021. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass.
Appearance: A hazy murky beetroot like purple reddish colour with a one finger pink head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing.
Aroma: Lightly jammy, raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, berry gummy candies.
Taste: Sour, tart, blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry, with jammy and yoghurt notes.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Loved the aroma and flavours were full of nice berries. A good easy drinking Berliner Weisse.

Pours a dark purple with thick, pink foam.
Smell is tart and youghurty with notes of raspberries, blackcurrants and a hint of grass.
Taste is tart but with a little bit of sweetness. Notes of raspberries, currants, sloe and youghurt, and quite creamy.
Mouthfeel is medium and creamy, well carbonated.
Overall, a great Berliner, creamy and balanced.
