Copenhagen 16/2 2020. 33 cl tall, thin can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Extraordinary can with illustration by Alexander Jansson. Looks like an old, inhabited watch enshrouded in fog or steam.
Pours opaque dark brown with a a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense, sweet, roasted and a bit spicy. Ominous presence of alcohol. Brown sugar, bitter coffee, lactose, roasted dark malts, tobacco. Light boozy edge lurking in the background.
Light carbonation. Fat, creamy, viscous, smooth, almost flat texture.
Flavor has a strong and prominent sweetness followed by a subdued coffee bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet but with a notable, bitter undercurrent. Lingering. Light boozy burn in the finish.
Powerful Imperial Stout. Fat, sweet and boozy. But with enough bitterness to notice it.

M - Silky so very silky smooth big body and minimal carbonation
O - This is an epic beer. You won't find much better in its class.

Pours thick and jet black with some fine, chocolate colored foam.
Smell is nutty and rich with notes of coffee, cocoa and a hint of red berries.
Taste is sumptous and sweet with huge notes of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and nice darts of hazelnuts and red berries. A hint of bitterness comes through as it warms.
Mouthfeel is thick and oily, well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific stout, with tons of flavour and nuance.
