Lovely Day is our double dry-hopped honey, vanilla and cream DIPA! We brewed this comfy number with a whole lot of flaked oats, fresh and floral Pennsylvania wildflower honey, and creamy lactose sugar. We then double dry-hopped Lovely Day with mostly Galaxy as well as Motueka and Cascade. The entire batch was then conditioned on some very nice Madagascar vanilla beans to simply round it all out. Lovely Day clocks in right at 10% abv.

Hazy pear color (the inside; not the skin). Tropical and lightly funky hop aroma and flavor from Motueka. A touch boozy. Decent balance with light bitterness. Medium to full bodied and fairly creamy with a warm finish. A TIPA in disguise.

A - Opaque light golden tan color with dense lacing.
S - Faded tropical fruit, citrus, peach, and passionfruit.
T - Cream, vanilla, peach, passion fruit, some herbal, tropical fruit, and ends with a small amount of pine bitterness.
M - Big chewy body that's pillowy soft.
O - This is surprisingly good for sitting at two months old and a nice surprise.

Pours a completely opaque straw gold. A couple fingers of white foam reducing to a decent ring and soapy lacing. Aroma is honey, bitter and dank hop, some floral qualities. Taste follows suit, little honey but is exchanged for a subtle vanilla undertone with juicy hop and a light bitterness overtaking the bill. Feel is very smooth and velvety, not much carbonation crisp. Decent beer, nothing special.

A Very tasty, satisfying, enjoyable double/imperial ipa! A truly subtle (sneaky 10% abv). Will get this one again.
