Pint can date 10-26-2020. DDH double IPA hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy and Simcoe. Modest foam top and good lacing with a grapefruit colored hazy body. Juicy nose and taste with a moderate hop bite. A pleasant creamy mouthfeel creates a very easy drinker for a double. Taste improved to my palate as it warmed for a bit.

From 16oz can dated 10/27/2020. From the LLC Instagram post: “... we are rereleasing I Love You! I Love You is our Comfy DDH Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy & Simcoe DIPA brewed with flaked oats. We hopped this beer rather heavily in the whirpool with soft New Zealand Cascade and then double dry hopped it with super expressive Nelson Sauvin, peachy Galaxy, and mango-y Simcoe. Share this beer and harness the opportunity to let someone know how much you Love them! We are tasting big comfy notes of incredibly ripe peach nectar, mango ice cream, key lime curd, Nilla wafers, and ruby red grapefruit juice.” Soft, smooth, & delicious.

16oz can, dated 06.25.2020, poured into a stemless wine glass.

The beer pours a very bright golden straw color, orange hues with a foamy white head, about one finger tall that has excellent retention and great lacing. The aroma is lovely, pale dough, sweet yeast, tangy tropical fruits, earthy and bitter hop spice, pine and dank green grass with a more delicate floral bouquet as it warms. The flavors are very good, juicy tropical fruits, lots of pineapple and valencia orange, grapefruit peel and earthy pine, dank weediness, lightly floral with a strong pale dough backbone and a hint of sweet yeast. The mouthfeel is good, coating and creamy with a smooth but lively texture that finishes with an assertive dry bite.

Verdict: A very nice NEIPA from Little Log Cabin. Juicy, dry, bitter, tangy, bright, fresh, it hits on all the required elements that makes this style so enjoyable.
