Time to learn some more about beer. Split batch brewing is a new term for some. Let's see how it tastes. A pint can is emptied into a clear glass liter mug for considerations. It's a copper-amber color with wisps of a head and lacing. Solid sharp hops greet the nose, as it should be with a good AIPA. This is an excellent tasting brew. Plenty of malt sweetness up front to provide a great body and act as a contrast for the bitter blast of hops that finish. This is exactly what a great IPA is supposed to taste like. If you're looking for a bitter hoppy ale with a solid malt backbone, try this. The category Double Dragon Splatch may still be an enigma, but this brew is for real.
