Gold to amber color. Clear. One good ring of lace, random spots thereafter.
Fruity aroma of pineapple and juicy-fruit gum. There’s a good floral hop background bringing some balance to the nose.
The initial sip is balanced up front and only becomes more bitter from there. The finish is harsh but not overwhelming. The carbonation appears to be a bit elevated but the body is also quite rich. The aftertaste lasts a long time—lots of bitterness. Surprisingly, the alcohol is well hidden.

Clear amber brew with a plenty of foam in the Duvel tulip. Quite thick mouthfeel with a load of hoppy aroma. Smells of alfalfa, orange, and apple. Rather sweet and seriously malty. It's the orange marmalade taste with a bitter aftertaste. More pine than grapefruit in the finish.
This is an interesting and powerful hoppy brew. Made for sipping, with that lingering fruity pineapple taste and a dose of bitterness. From the 12 oz can purchased at the brewery tasting room.
