Medium gold colored body; crystal clear; excellent carbonation; one-finger plus thick head, moderately dense and white. Nice toasted grain aroma; little to no hop aroma. Sweet, grainy malt flavor with a moderately intense hop bitterness; white pepper; hint of phenol presence on the backend. Medium body; fine coarseness on the palate; a bit sticky with a touch of dryness.
Definitely a malt-forward beer with a somewhat spicy hop presence. This is a collaborative beer with Central District Brewing.
Pouring temperature: 39 °F; canning info: unavailable

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a medium golden amber with coppery notes and a quarter finger white head that dissipates to patches with slight lacing. Aroma of biscuit and mildly caramel malt, mild hops and graham cracker. Flavor is caramel and biscuit malt with light graininess, mildly grassy and floral hops, graham and white cracker, a touch of toffee. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A pleasant bock style lager. Overall faithful to the German style, the hops are more domestic than continental, but lean towards some floral character, which I found appealing. The finish has an interesting interaction between the hops and malt with a faint peanut butter note, which I liked. This style is intended to be malty but sessionable and I could see myself settling into a long afternoon with this one. Nicely done.
