16 fl oz can:
Caramel. Dark malts. Whoppers/malted milk balls. Bready malts.
Moderate residual sweetness. It's pretty well attenuated, but has sweetness becoming of the style.
Smooth, wet, medium-bodied, unrefreshing (not that a dark lager necessarily ought to be refreshing).
Balanced and drinkable, but far short of a standout beer in the style. Bang for the buck, most European brewed efforts are far and away better, but price doesn't affect my overall rating.
Glad I gave it a whirl. Wouldn't seek it out again.

I really enjoyed this beer and is an excellent example of the style.
I purchased a can of this beer at the brewery. Poured into a tulip glass. Clear dark brown color with a creamy, fluffy beige beer and excellent curtain lacing. Smell and taste of chocolate and birch wood. Earthy and robust. Toasted dark malt. Nice full feel. Really nice beer that I will get again.
