this bangs, didnt realize it was so strong, its sweet but its not crazy boozy for how strong it really is, and its hard not to be impressed with how much this actually tastes like the true nutter butter cookies, insane! deep dark brown, close to but not quite flat from the tap, but not as heavy and viscous looking as i expected it to be, desserty yes, but without some of the normally attendant heft, which i dont miss at all, there is plenty of beer in this glass without it being all cooked down and concentrated. i straight up smell and taste the cookies, brings me back to my youth, like its so accurate that i swear it has to be made with them, not their constituent parts, but i dont know for sure, its sweet and sort of slick and fatty, i get some obvious chocolate and coffee from the malt too, that sweetened peanut butter richness, some balancing roasted bitterness which i am thankful for, if there is lactose in here its not taking over, and this presents as full and balanced on the palate without being diabetic or glue-like, no sign of marshmallows and vanilla beans and all that dessert beer stuff. this is smooth and long but also not massive to me for what it is. very true to the cookie, which everyone loves, and i did in face love this beer. have not had nearly enough from these guys, but this one is a treat, super fun, exactly what is claims to be. love the aftertaste too, pure nutter butter. delicious. i didnt, but i would drink a whole one, rare in this style space for me...
