unique and tasty beer, drinks crazy light for being a double, has good bitterness and all, but this is clean and light on the grain side, quite modern, and with a cool hop profile, double dry hopped with simcoe, citra, nectaron, and idaho 7, a fun combination that gets as much from the sexy nectaron as it does for the more tried and true other varietals in this. light orange to pale peach colored brew, short headed from the tap, a honey sort of sweetness to it in the nose but not malty in the old school sense, tropical fruits like guava and clementine come to mind, a hint of pineapple too, lemongrass and lemon curd, a little cereal grain character, fresh and with nice proportions, and the flavor agrees. ever so slightly warm with the alcohol but its real clean beer and without a ton of body which is nice for something so hoppy, not out of balance or proportion at all, hints of cantaloupe and papaya now, orange for sure, and an almost thiol boosted white winey thing thats pleasant in here too, a bit of sweetness through it but its not out of place and highlights the fruitiness of the hops. good with spicy food, dangerously drinkable, fresh as can be, and a fine example of the style overall, some definite stone fruit from the nectaron, nice simcoe presence too with some late pine, real solid, maybe a bit light on the carbonation, could have a little more lift, but really good on the whole. excited about these guys, have had only three of their beers thus far but liked them all!
