Can 3/7:
Pours deep mahogany with auburn highlights. Head struggles but firms a medium collar.
Nose is a light roasted malt with a weak coffee lean. There’s a slight root beer spice after a swirl, seeming a bit more like a porter without a smoother floral/fruity scent I get in many lagers.
A bit flat, maybe age sneaking in, and just a tad heavy for the style, about medium. Lightly sweetened coffee with a bit of the spice from the nose. Pretty straightforward but also a little bold and missing the nuance I really enjoy in the style.
