Never quite sure why beers get "retired" when the recipe can re-emerge at any time. Enjoyed at the SBC Milford, CT location this seasonal brew has a clear and radiant golden amber appearance with a fair white head that is surprisingly laced with pure cinnamon (not sure I’m excited about that). Lacing is sturdy. The aroma offers little more than the cinnamon tat blankets the entire surface of the beer/head so there is little more to assess here. I suppose I can tell there’s some pumpkin under the obvious seasoning. The flavor brings somewhat bitter grassy pumpkin ideas with the unavoidable cinnamon. The usual nutmeg hints are detectable and I get a fairly strong lemony cider flavor. IT’s generally light in body with a bright but pretty watery feel with meager carbonation. Easy drinking but not memorable.

Served in a pint glass from the SBC in Southport in mid-October. Medium amber color, low foam. Smells slightly spiced. taste is a clean ale w/ pumpkin background. Slight cinammon and nutmeg spices buried in the flavor. Somewhat watery - clean for a pumpkin ale, little pop prescence. Good drinkability, enjoyable seasonal brew.
