Served on tap at the southport sbc. Presented as an octoberfest beer, but not a marten for sure. Pours rich brownish red with scant traces of foam. Not overly cold. Malty smell. Not overly noticeable. Taste is a light sweet malt, but with a peaty, whiskey undertone. Very tepid. A mild scotch ale for sure. Thin mouthfeel, light carbonation. So so.
