Pours a pitch-black coloration with a large, foamy, quickly receding head. Smells of quite roasted, slightly caramelly malt, with hints of chocolate, licorice and milk sugar. Taste is dominated by quite roasted, slightly caramelly malt and licorice, with lighter notes of tobacco, chocolate and coffee, as well as hints of milk sugar. Finishes quite dry, with a medium bitterness, very slight acidity and some roasted malt, licorice and milk sugar lingering in the aftertaste. Effervescent mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium/strong carbonation.

Bottle is 3 months past the best-by date, but I reckon it's not gonna affect a MIlk Stout all that much. While the style is not one of my favorites, this actually seem like a decent example of it, with a good balance favoring the roasted/bitter notes and light sweetness from the lactose, actually finishing quite dry, with a good, effervescent mouthfeel.
