Envy Brewing

the brewery scene just keeps on evolving and expanding here in fort collins. every time i pull into another plaza i think i am going to discover a brewery! this place is neat, open and spacious and new, seemingly well suited to nicer weather, but it was fun on a cold winter evening too. they have some neat art in here, grateful dead stickers on the fermenters, and while the aesthetic is kind of minimal, its also welcoming and warm. the selection was solid, maybe ten beers on, covering lots of ground but leaning hoppy. i had a rather old school tasting ipa that was red and malty, and a smash pale ale with african queen hops that was absolutely delicious. it was evident from just two beers that the quality and the attention to detail here are high in the brew house. i wish i had time for more while i was in, but i was driving and didnt want to push it. the service was fine, not overly friendly or chatty, but the place was pretty packed and she did a good job keeping up with it, seemingly by herself, so i cant complain. its cool that yet another brewery can exist and thrive here, i have high hopes and expectations for these guys with them being so far ahead of the status quo already, and cant wait to see where they go from here!
