Milkshake IPA with Strawberry, Lactose, Mosaic hops and Vanilla. Shaky Shaky is our series of milkshake IPAs inspired by one of our taproom employees, Alyssa. For the first entry into the series, Alyssa joined her husband, our Head Brewer Eric, in crafting and brewing this recipe. In this series, we take a New England IPA and milkshake it with lactose, vanilla, and fruit additions.

16oz, canned on 05/15/20. Murky pinky-peachy colored body with a frothy ivory head with some light pink hues. Aroma has strawberry milkshake going on - strawberry, cream, & lactose. Flavors mimic aroma with loads of strawberries, vanilla, and lactose; mild tropical hop flavors are in the background. Creamy body with some tartness, moderate carbonation, slightly tart and more sweet than bitter finish. Excellent milkshake IPA.

Canned 5/15/20; drank 5/25/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/pink appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice off-white head; decent lace.
Sweet strawberry, mild dry wheat & faint honey notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Strawberry & vanilla flavors up front; dry grass & mild tartness on the finish.
Easy to drink but not cloying; a pleasant surprise!

Had on tap. Hazy dark yellow with two fingers of white foam. Smells strongly of strawberry with lingering lactose and vanilla, strawberry is the clear star. Taste fits the same pattern, strawberry, not strawberry cream, rules supreme. And GASP, there are hops in this milkshake ipa that bond naturally with the ripe strawberry, very complimentary. Feel is frothy, sweet, ripe and sneaky hoppy. The wife loved it.
