32oz growler, picked up at the brewery - St. Charles, IL
L: dark brown with a thick, foamy, tan head
S: chocolate, vanilla, nutty almond, earthy hops, darkened grain
T: complex: cocoa, vanilla, almond [extract?], grain, earthy hops
F: full bodied, ample carbonation, but I get an artificial sweetener finish that is kind of cloying
O: good flavors, but I think it could have been better with the almond toned down a bit. The beer ends up being kind of like Them Crooked Vultures - I wanted to like it more than I did.
