Traditional Irish Dry Stout. Named for our co-founder’s grandfather who avoided being in a plane crash by missing a cab and becoming the lucky husband, father, and grandfather everyone knew as Doc.

Brownish black pour with a large brown head. Smell and taste are the same: roasted malt, cocoa, earth, hint of vanilla, and a whisper of dark grains. Very smooth despite plenty of roast character, dries out well, medium bodied with a lighter weight finish, very drinkable

Pours a completely opaque, shiny black color. Frothy, two to three finger head forms on the beer before dissipating. A thin layer of splotchy foam eventually remains on the beer. The aroma has notes of roasted malts, cream, barley, and a subtle earthy hop note.
Taste follows the nose with notes of roasted malts, some barley, earthy hops, and a touch of cream. It's simple and straightforward, but true to style. Feel is medium to fuller bodied for the style. Has this lovely silky mouthfeel with gentle, moderate carbonation. Dry finish.
Overall its a very well crafted irish dry stout - I'd happily pick up a 4-pack of this again next year.
