Very dark amber brown with a tan head. Aromas of amber malts, toasty earth, minor oak and a hint of pine hops. Taste is hoppier compared to the malty nose, almost resinous with a sweetness from the amber malts that is interesting and screams new world. Oak is still very minor here. Feel is medium bodied, malty, again oak and hops are there but the earthy yeast is more so. 2nd beer different I have had using the Hobson oak, but this one felt a little lost in what it was trying to be
