Gallo Loco (Crazy Rooster) is Oviedo’s take on a Mexican style Vienna lager. The roots of this style can be traced back to the late 1800’s when German and Austrian immigrants settled into Mexico, bringing with them their homeland brewing techniques and ingredients. This crazy rooster is a clean fermented bready lager that features a base of Pilsner malt, some Vienna and also a bit of flaked corn in the mix to exaggerate some of this style’s influence into a contemporary representation.
