I enjoyed this beer however it really wasn't anything special as someone else described, it was basically an extract brew. However, I thought it was a nice enjoyable Bock and if the brewpub was closer to my house, I'm sure I'd enjoy it pretty often. I did think that it had a slightly sour taste to it. I don't mean the beer was sour (i.e. it didn't go bad), just that it had a slightly sour taste to it.

The beer pours a cloudy brown color with a thick frothy tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is of dark malt extract and light hops. It's light with that zing extract brews contain; not bad though. The taste is average. It has a very drinkable bock-style palate. It's light with some dark malt character. The hops are light to mild in strength. It's really a basic formula, but it works well. The mouthfeel is decent. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an average bock. This small brewery is just getting started and I wish them all the luck. However, the owner is brewing with hopped malt extract from a manufacters kit; enough said. Let's hope he gains confidence and explores new beers and brewing methods.
