L- Black, even held right to a halogen bulb not a photon gets through. That's something I usually expect in high ABV% black beers, not down at a lowly 4.5%. Pours with 1Cm dark [notably] tan head, that's holding well even 15mins later.
S- Notably toasty and with a smokey facet.
T- Deeply toasty and with a hint of smoke. It leaves a sense of fireplace/char on my lips, it's surprising how pungent the taste is for a 4.5% beer.
F- The flavour is big, pungent, really pretty intense. This really has to be a slow-sipping beer it's too full-on to rush. The surprising thing is that despite being only 4.5% it doesn't come out as hugely unbalanced.
O- ... that said I'd be interested to try this beer just with an amped up ABV%, to say 7-8%, maybe the Taste/Feel would balance better?
Bought from BelgianInABox Antwerp/BE for home delivery to me in London/UK. 330ml bottle Euro2.99. BB: 03/2023.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
