Served from the bottle in a Lagunitas mason jar.
Pours a hazy sunset auburn topped by a finger of lightly off-bone foam. The nose comprises earthy red wine must, light barrel char, light vanilla bean, clove, and cracked wheat. The taste brings in more of the same, the must, wheat, and clove really struggling amongst one another to gain a commanding foothold, only to come out pretty even. The body is a stolid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. An interesting saison experience, one I'm not sure is a complete success, but one I'm glad was undertaken regardless.
