16 ounce can, dating is smudged but pretty sure it's a 2020 release. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear mahogany brown color with about an inch and a half light tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a lot of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, earthy hops, and some chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some caramel too. Surprisingly the hops really show up here, not overly hoppy but definitely noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a little slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. If you like hoppy brown ales then give this one a try. I know I wouldn't mind trying this one again in the future!

Poured out of a 16 oz can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a clear, dark amber/light to medium brown color with a creamy looking, slightly tan head that's slightly over an inch thick when first poured. Head settles eventually to a very thick ring lining the inside of the glass, a nice film layer of surface foam, and very good lacing. Aromas of roasted, chocolate and caramel malt sweetness along with an herbal, earthy, slightly spicy, hop presence. The flavor is the same, with some roasted caramel and chocolate malt sweetness that is quite heavy on the roast along with herbal, earthy, and slightly spicy hop bitterness. The malt sweetness and hop bitterness are well balanced, but the fairly heavy roast o the malts gives this a slightly astringent flavor. I'd say the roast is the dominant flavor profile in a manner if speaking here. Interesting. Has a fairly smooth and frothy, also somewhat crisp, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a nice aftertaste that encompasses all the aforementioned flavors. Not too shabby here, but not great either I feel.
