Had a snifter at the taproom in mid-June 2022. The beer had not yet been released and didn't even have a name yet, but the brewer/bar keep offered me a taste of the new stuff. I had to wait until it was released later and watch other beer websites to learn the name of the beer so that I could review it on BA.
Great looking stout with lots of thick head and lace. Aromas were strangely muted, with just some roasted grains, but not a lot of depth. Flavors were more complex, with coffee, chocolate and earthy hops. Moderate to heavy body, with moderate, creamy carbonation. Medium to high hops bitterness. The 8.6% ABV was well hidden. This was a great beer and the best I had at the brewery during my visit.
