Our India Pale Ale is hopped 3 times giving it a floral aroma. Handcrafted by our brewmaster using eight English specialty malts.

A lovely deep rosy amber in the sun, with a tiny-bubbled head (reminded me of nitro-quality heads) leaving lots of lacing.
Odd skunky note (akin to a freshly opened Rolling Rock) in the aroma took points away.
Everything at Southport lists to the mild side and the IPA is no exception. The hops are not brutal at all... this might be when to use the phrase "judiciously hopped."
Very drinkable for the pale ale drinker, and it might not even scare off someone who appreciates pilseners and lagers.

Agreed on this not being a hop lovers IPA. The malt is nicely sweet balancing with the hops. While I prefer a hoppier IPA, the alcohol content on this is modest, making this one you can have a few of. A good beer to drink with the burgers they serve.
