After been asked several times for a dark beer, we made it happened. We think it came out pretty yummy. We can’t wait to get your feedback. It is a Robust Porter without any addition of coffee, cacao or any other flavor.

This may be the only porter I've had in Central or South America that I can recall. I'm sure it's not the only one, but it's just not a common a style for this part of the world. Glad this brewery gave it a go. I had this twice now, both times from a 12oz bottle. The beer is slightly over carbonated and it effects the mouthfeel. The beer definitely has a good head that retains and laces for sure. Nice brown coloring. It looks good but this over foams out of the bottle. The nose is not that distinct. Maybe a little like coca cola with a hint of chocolate or dark malt. The taste is good, nice combo of sweet and bittering chocolate. This is medium bodied. The mouthfeel is the low point. It's a bit coarse from the over carbonation. It has the mouthfeel and a bit of the taste of homebrew in the bottle, similar to when you throw a bit of sugar in each bottle to get the carbonation going. It's the same and consistent with their other beers. Not sure what's going on with the carbonation when the beer is bottled but it's the low point. If you're in Costa Rica, this one is worth seeking out because you won't find too many porters brewed here.

Poured from the 12oz bottle into a wine glass in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. The beer is a dark brown color with a light tan foamy head. The smell was toasty and lightly sweet with caramel notes and brown sugar with a hint of cola. Taste was nice and roasty with hints of sweetness. Lightish in body but not watery. This was a nice porter. A good find in Costa Rica. I'm looking forward to trying more from these guys.
