The beer is heavily carbonated out of the bottle and the head retains its shape and laces quite well. The nose is pretty typical banana and clove but I had to swirl the beer a bit to get the nose to do anything. It's pretty understated either way. The beer is very light and has a sharpness that shouldn't be there for this style. The subtle sweet clove and banana are sort of lacking too. It's a passable Hefe, not to say it's a bad beer, but it doesn't hold up against anything you would get from Germany or the US for this style. There is a bit of over-carbonation with all these beers from SuizyTico. I'm tasting the homebrewer putting some sugar in each bottle to get the carbonation going. It has the homebrew taste and feel. Because there's so few "artisanal beers" as they call them down here, this is one of the better ones. Nothing I would ever contemplate buying at home though. For that it's hard to really to come up with a fair rating.

The beer is a cloudy reddish brown with an off-white head that bursts up out of the beer. The smell is clean and ready with a light gumboil and banana character. A classic selling beer. The taste is also banana bread and a light sweetness. Light gum taste. About as straightforward hefeweizen as you can get. Classic, and that's a good thing. Feel is a bit light. Overall, this was a refreshing and nice find in Fortuna. Enjoyable.
