Appearance: Packaged three months prior to pouring into a pint glass. The adhesive label on the can is of simple design but matches the brewery’s other mainstays; the navy blue livery doesn’t really suit the style though. It pours such a dark brown that it almost appears black. No head, just the tiniest bit of a ring.

Extremely aromatic. Taste and smell of freshly brewed, high-quality roast coffee with just the right amount of creamer. No unpleasant bitterness, not too sweet.

Feel: Perfectly creamy and carbonated.

Overall: What a fantastic coffee milk stout!

This was absolutely special, from the moment it poured out to the last drop, it was a joy to drink. Great blackness to the liquid, dark roasted smell with a touch of sweetness, and a medium mouthfeel that leans towards being full-bodied. The taste is lightly malty with a rich coffee flavor. Overall, a really good beer.

my first from these guys, thanks to a new friend for sharing! its more brown than black, short tan headed, and simple in all the right ways, nothing forced or overly ambitious, and this is the kind of milk stout i could drink a whole bunch of, not too sugary, nicely balanced by the roasted barley, and with plenty of dark coffee in it, flavorful but not heavy just for the sake of it, love when these arent imperials. sweet and smooth on the nose, a hint of root beer or something unexpected before rich just brewed and very strong drip coffee comes in, smells like a cure for a hangover i dont even have yet. the flavor has great balance, not too much lactose thankfully, no acid from the coffee at all, thorough bitterness from the dark grain and the coffee alike, just a little something from the yeast, perhaps slightly english to me as it warms, bready and old school, and just a bit of lingering sweetness but not all packed with caramel character or anything. a lighter medium body for the style is nice too, especially in warmer weather, and the freshness of the coffee stands out for a beer thats traveled across the country. quality offering here, pretty bold with the coffee but very drinkable overall.

Look: Very typical stout. Dark, almost black pour with a caramel head that lasted thru about half the glass. Foam cringed to the sides all the way down.
Smell and Taste: I'm going to call it a chocolate/coffee milkshake and yes, it's that sweet but has an ever so slight bitterness on the finish. Not an unpleasant bitterness.
Feel: It is very smooth to drink but got to be somewhat flat toward to end when the carbonation disappeared.
Overall: The first few sips were the best then sort of leveled off. I think it best to drink it real cold.

12 oz can with a 18 December 2020 canning date stamped on the bottom. 6 pack purchased from a refrigerated case in a Parker's near Savannah, GA.
Pours exceptionally dark, even for style, and comes with a decent beige head over a smooth, medium body.
Aroma. Well balanced mix of coffee and traditional milk stout.
The flavor carries both the sweetness of a milk stout and some of the bitterness of coffee, with the accompanying dark roasted grains and coffee notes. This has a dynamic flavor profile that is most obvious in the transition from initial sweetness to a moderately bitter aftertaste; decently harmonious and balanced.

12 ounce can - $2.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, near black body with a half-inch layering of lightly creamy-looking, tanned froth.

Smell: Roasty, coffee-scented with some oven-fired grains, bitterish chocolate and some scant dark fruitiness with those telltale traces of lactose.

Taste: Sweetish, roasted maltiness -- passing by are tastes of caramel, scorched malts, baker's chocolate. A little scorched cream and sugar-dipped coffee beans. Faintly estery, a little dark fruitiness. Nominal hop character, bitterness. Flavors roll together and intermingle, leaving a relatively smooth, lightly milky, coffee-tinged dark malt finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: In a dreadful world of overly boozy stouts, thoughtlessly junked up and glooped up with all manner of candies and checkout aisle sweets, a stout that still has two additions (lactose, coffee) comes across as a nice, wholesome, relatively subtle treat.
