473ml can poured into tulip.
Pours pitch black with one finger of brown head that leaves a sheet of garden archway lace as it recedes.
Smells of freshly brewed coffee, toasted caramel malt, baker's chocolate, wood smoke and leafy, herbal hops.
Tastes of more coffee and cocoa, singed caramel, wet ash, soft anise spiciness and more soft leafy hops.
Feels smooth and silky. Medium bodied with supple carbonation. Finishes off-dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. Dry, smooth and easily drinkable. Well done.

Appearance - Pours a jet black with four fingers of frothy tan head that leaves some nice looking lace on the glass.
Smell - earthy and leafy hops, bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, coffee bean, roasted malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy and leafy hops upfront then quickly goes into the bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, and coffee bean. The roasted malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes silky smooth with the malts, bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, and coffee bean lingering.
Overall - A flavourful and roasty porter that definitely delivers on all fronts. I like how light it is in flavour considering all the elements in this brew. Another impressive brew from one of the top breweries in Cowtown at the moment.
