Imperial Catharina Sour with apricot and passionfruit.
Packaged July 3 so a fairly fresh can.
Appearance - Pours a honey apricot with three fingers of frothy cream coloured head.
Smell - brett yeast, apricot, passionfruit, sour aromas, bready malts, earthy, citrus, and tropical hops, and a fuzzy peach candy scent.
Taste - brett yeast and bold sourness upfront. Then it quickly goes into the bold notes from the apricot and passionfruit. The bready malts, earthy, citrus, and tropical hops, and fuzzy peach candy scent round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes tart and fruity.
Overall - A highly flavourful sour from the Establishment. I like how the apricot and passionfruit are at the forefront of this brew. I'm not the biggest sour person but this one is quite pleasant.
