Notes about the brew:
A Trappist Style Single. Light Belgian ale with fruity and spicy Belgian yeast character, floral noble hops, dry finish.
Appearance - Pours a medium gold with two fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - spicy yeast, banana, clove, coriander, spicy earthy, floral, and leafy hops, grainy malts, and lemon.
Taste - Starts off with the pungent grainy malts but quickly goes into the spicy yeast, banana, clove, and coriander. The spicy earthy, floral, and floral hops come through next. The brew is rounded out by the lemon.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes smooth with the hops and fruits lingering.
Overall - A pleasantly quaffable brew. I've never sampled this style before and my first taste of this style was a positive one with the malts, hops, and fruits all working in unison together to create a bold brew.
