Appearance - Pours a copper with four fingers of frothy white head that fades at a reasonable rate.
Smell - spicy earthy and floral hops, black pepper, orange and pear, toasty and biscuity malts, other fruity esters, and earthy yeast.
Taste - spicy earthy and floral hops upfront then quickly goes into the orange and pear. The black pepper, toasty and biscuity malts malts come through next. The other fruity esters and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes off-dry with the spiciness, orange, pear, and hops lingering.
Overall - A pleasant rendition of a BPA that delivers on the drinkability and flavour profile. This is a welcome addition from all the New England IPAs this brewery has been releasing.
