Our porter is brewed with oats, chocolate malt and English black malt. The lower hop profile gives this beer a more malty presentation.

On draught at the brewery. It pours an oily, dark walnut - almost black - with dark cola hues on the fringes of the glass. It has a thin, light khaki-colored head and a thin but creamy film of lacing inside the glass. It's a classic Porter look. The aromatic nose features burnt peat, char, tobacco smoke, burnt coffee, and nuts. There is no sweetness to this Porter. The flavors are burnt coffee grounds, char, tobacco ash, and nuts. It seems more bitter than 12 IBU. There is a slightly acerbic, peppery finish. Its mouth feel is lite with moderate carbonation, and there is a lot of flavor for 4.8% ABV. Overall, this is a classic American Porter. My only constructive criticism is that a bit more chocolate would add to the flavor. Nonetheless, this is a strong offering from a new brewery.
