This pumpkin colored beer has the aroma of cinnamon, allspice, vanilla with brown sugar, clove and nutmeg. First sip is allspice and cinnamon. After the brown sugar vanilla kicks in, it's slightly sweet on the back end but a clean finish. That's what happens when you get the ingredients for 50 pumpkin pies and throw it in the kettle. Enjoy our crack at a seasonal favorite.

On draught at the brewery. Served in a snulip glass. It pours a cloudy apricot color with a thin, creamy, bright white head and film of lacing. The smell offers the typical pumpkin pie spicing of ginger, allspice, and numeg, along with creamy lactose. I'm impressed by the taste. In additional the spices mentioned above, there is brown sugar, vanilla, and graham cracker. I was told that the brewer literally added pumpkin pies to the boil so there is also some pumpkin flesh. In any event the taste is effective. This ale has a creamy mouth feel with pleasant carbonation and the elevated 9.5% ABV is not distracting. Overall, Mischief Night delivered a lot more than I expected. This is a well-executed Pumpkin Ale. The brewery has canned it, as well.
