On tap at The Guild in Warren
Even though I’ve been to the original Guild location in Pawtucket, as part of checking off all the RI breweries I needed to review one of their beers. And it’s a nice day, so why not stop by their new taproom? Let’s see how they do with this traditional style
Pours a clear reddish mahogany with a finger of off white head that quickly fades to a ring and leaves minimal lacing
This is nice and light on the nose, but still with nice roasty notes. I’m picking up on aromas of dark toast, spent coffee beans, floral hops, toffee, light brown sugar, and toasted nuts
It is similarly smooth in taste, not overly complex but still not simple. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting brown bread, toasted nuts, toffee, herbal hops, and brown sugar. The swallow brings notes of dark toast, toffee, herbal hops, brown sugar; light coffee, and a touch of raisin
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth and roasty beer. Finishes neutral with a nice hoppy bite
It’s nothing amazing but it’s damn solid. Better than some of the other beers I’ve tried here

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
