On tap at The Malted Barley
Now, this is an odd one. I’ve been to The Malted Barley a few times, and didn’t even know they brewed their own beer. Now that I’m here again, I’m realizing that it’s contracted brewed by The Guild. Odd, but sure. Time to cross off another for Rhode Island
Pours a cloudy deep gold with 2 fingers of creamy white head that fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is surprisingly grainy and not that tart but I dig it. I’m picking up on aromas of tart tangerine, toasted grain, lemon zest, doughy malt, apple skin, and light floral hops
It’s a bit brighter in taste but still retains the grainy vibe that I like. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange zest, lemon juice, sea salt, bready malt, raw grain, earthy hops, and light apple skin. The swallow brings notes of lemon custard, lime juice, raw grain, tangerine zest, crackery malt, light honey, and floral hops
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp and tart beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing
I like this one even more than I had expected to. Pretty subtle, but quite nice

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
