First Channel Marker review for me. Thanks for the can Kevin.
A- Tallboy pours into a snifter with a rather hazy golden yellow to very pale orange body. The head rises to an inch high with a thick and creamy texture and very long lasting head retention. Massive blankets of lacing as the head falls and long webs follow below that.
S- Citrus and stone fruit hops are the big two for me with some tropical, floral, pine and dank vibes as well. Orange juice, grapefruit, lime, tangerine, mango and cantaloupe come to mind. Oats, raw hops and sweets are suggested.
T- A nice variety of hop flavors with the citrus and stone fruits once again up front. Cantaloupe, papaya, mango lead into bitter grapefruit, orange, tangerine, lime, bitter berry and pine hops. A moderate sweetness overall with whole grains and oats coming to mind. No true hop burn but it does skirt the edge of that line with slight raw hop, green and intense bitter feels.
MF- Fairly thick with a moderately heavy body. Very creamy but not quite chewy and the beer is quite puffy. Moderately high carbonation and a strong bitterness in the finish.
A really nice aroma and a pretty good flavor that showcases some nice citrus and stone fruits but has a bit too much green hop flavors that eventually detract from those more subtle hop flavors.
