Clear golden straw (SRM 5) with a light chill haze. Columns of carbonation are offset by random bubbles throughout. A one-inch, foamy, white head lasts a few minutes before settling to a ring. A fine lacing coats the PBGC American Lager ping glass in some areas, and leaves a webbing on others.
The aroma opens with crisp straw and water crackers. Light floral notes come in gentle waves. This is clean and simple.
The flavor is just as expected from the nose. Very crisp, with modest bitterness in balance with the sweetness. Bitterness builds in the dry finish. Warmth reveals lots of grain.
A nylon texture with ample carbonation. Only a hint of alcohol within this bier that has a medium body.
Pilsner Bier is another well-known Lager from the Finger Lakes. This one will serve you well when kicking back and rooting for your favorite team.
