Kettle soured and fruited with an abundance of strawberries and black berries, this has a perfect malty finish. Bright and balanced.

A dark, pinkish and murky grapefruit juice has occupied the Stiegle stange before me. A big, two-inch, fine, white head gradually settles over several minutes without ever completely dissipating. Big patches of dense lace coat the glass.
The aroma is quite interesting and nothing like what I had expected. Imagine, if you will, briny Hawaiian Punch. You've entered the Lacto Patrunum Berry Goze Zone. The background is earthy, with a variety of betties and some sort of savory spice. Warmth brings out something akin to a strawberry Starburst. That last descriptor took a while to identify, and now seems so obvious.
The flavor has a pleasant, low level of bitterness, with sweet and sour for equal measure. The acidity is slightly high. The fruit combination is reminiscent of juice at the bottom of a fruit salad. Currants and strawberry Starburst show more clearly just before a long, very long, mild finish that is dominated by citric acid.
A medium body and denim texture. The dryness makes the mouth water and the tongue tingle, as citric acid works its way through. There is no hint of alcohol. Carbonation is light and fine.
This beer is interesting and, similar to its inspiration, doesn't easily fit into any one style. The subtle Harry Potter reference is fitting for this concoction.
