12 oz can poured into goose island nonic pint. No can dating, just hashtags all over the can.
Is this nitro? Color is dark brown with a majorly cascading nitro like appearance. The head starts off at three fingers and is creamy and caramel colored.
Aroma is faint but is of raisins, raisinets, vinegar, and molasses.
Flavor is kind of empty and reminiscent of a nitro porter though there is no indication on the can that it is a nitro beer. I get earthy/dirty water, slight dry cocoa, very very slight raisin, dirt, and more unclean tap water.
Feel is again, like a nitro beer. Slick but empty. Drying roasty finish.
Overall, kind of a shitty beer. Had no idea they would make use of the recent tragedy of flooding in eastern Nebraska and use the flood water to brew with. Wont be returning to this one. I dumped it after a handful of sips.
