On-tap at Coors Field, Denver, CO
A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and poured with a large patch of white bubbles on the surface.
S: Light aromas of guava and wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of guava with hints of wheat.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink but seems like it could have used more guava given its name.
Serving type: on-tap

a tasty and unique pale ale here, hazy with some guava in it. its cool to see guava by itself in a beer, and a beer thats not sour at that! so often its with passion fruit and pineapple and mango and all these things that sort of obscure it, and so often its in acidic beer like berliner and gose that kind of runs over it as well, so to have it showcased here in this way is pretty rad. its juicy and fresh, identifiable as guava, and really compatible with the citrus forward hops they have selected for this. the haziness doesnt make the beer heavy at all, and there is still some amount of bitterness to the hops that keeps it drinking like a pale, even on the edge of ipa, which i like in fruited examples of the style to balance the obvious sweetness the fruit contributes, which in this case is quite a bit. i get notes of orange and lime here too, and a dry cereal base that supports the fruit and hops well but doesnt have a ton of flavor on its own. the whole thing is smooth, dry for what it is, well carbonated, and quite drinkable at this nice moderate abv. overall one of the better beers i had in here, and definitely my favorite of the hoppy stuff they are doing right now. this one should do well for them!
