i thought most of the beer in here was pretty decent for such a new operation, but the cream ale here was not my favorite. this one to me felt a little messy, not as clean as it needs to be in the fermentation, not as crisp and dry and light as i want the style to be, and offering very little to differentiate it from any other middling craft brewer attempting a cream ale. its clearish and bright blonde in the glass, has a short but lasting white head, and looks the part. the aroma and flavor through have a little bit of a chemical or phenolic thing going on, not way off, but definitely not quite right either, makes it seem amateur to me, fortunately i didnt get this in any of the other beers i had while i was in here. the malt base is simple, has some subtle corn type sweetness to it, and maintains a pretty light body. carbonation is a little light for the style, and it could be a little drier too. very little hops to speak of, so the flaws stand out quite a lot even though its not over the top, and overall i just think this needs some fine tuning. dont let my negativity here turn you off from visiting the brewery though, the space is rad and the rest of the beers i had were vastly superior to this one. im sure it will be better when they brew it again, sometimes it takes a little time to get a new system dialed...
