probably the best beer we had in here, certainly the best of the hoppy stuff, a lot of flavor in here and a real nice sessionable alcohol content, which i am liking more and more these days, but a beer like this is hard to find, at least one worth drinking, and i am glad this exists. there is a little bit of a more flavorful malt side to this than most have, a pinch of something richer, and a european breadiness to it, but its nice and dry here, so its really the best of both worlds, and it sets the hops up really well. this seems to be citra driven, has that softness and the lemongrass nose to it, a little more of a pungent candied hop thing in the taste, amarillo or el dorado or cashmere or maybe all of them, but its not overly dry hopped, as bold as it is, and there is nice balance to it, no green bite, not overdone, just the right amount of bitterness to finish. its smooth in feel and has good body for its lighter strength, fine carbonation, and good dryness at the end that makes the hops really pop. its subtle but its quite nuanced, and i think they did a good job with it. solid ipa for a brand new brewery to put out, nice hop profile, professional execution.
