Copenhagen 33 cl bottle from Kvickly Allerød. Beard Brew's usual beardy design in dark blue. A very lonely beard hovering.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a medium-sized light beige head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet odor of brown sugar meeting a more harsh smell of licorice. Dark roasted malts, brown sugar, leather, licorice.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with bitter undercurrent. Lingering. Finish is bitter and semi-dry.
Fat, thick, soft and strong. As an Imperial Stout should be. I almost feel inclined to grow a beard.
