Imperial IPA is the crazy big brother of IPA, always making things wilder and bigger.
Our Imperial IPA is like a well-grown walrus beard. Robust, masculine and a little daring.
Our Imperial IPA is a formidable size, but has a wonderful rounding from the great alcohol percentage it holds!

Copenhagen 23/4 2019. 50 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgård (web-shop). Drawing of silhouette of a full beard in a kind of old fashioned design (looks like something from a Barber shop in 1950.
Pour hazy amber with a big white head. Stable. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense, sweet and with citric overtones. Sweetish lemonade. Fermented exotic fruit like peach and mango. Light but pleasant booziness. Grape fruit and citrus rummaging in the background.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, creamy, fat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a citric touch. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Very fine DIPA with a light boozy touch and quite some flavor for a modest ABV.
