L- As dark as Coke, ie you can see through the edges of the glass if it's held up to the light. Clear, reluctant to form much of a head, pours with 3mm pale tan head that soon clears to a fine ring.
S- Toasty to the point of being almost slightly smokey. Different, interesting.
T- The smoke is notably more prominent in the Taste. The lable lists the ingredient 'oak smoked wheat' - that explains it. It certainly yields a pretty intriguing brew. I don't get the orange and coriander also noted on the lable, rather more a smokey chocolate.
F- It comes over as more than 4.5% ABV, it's deep, dark, pretty deeply flavoured.
O- Well balanced, nothing out of place, different and rather intriguing. I'm not a born drinker of 'black beer', but this shows how enjoyable a quality Porter can be. I would buy this again, though prefereably not from a £/convenience store.
500ml Bottle. Bought from the Co-Op shop at Norwich station, UK. £2.99 BB: 28/10/19

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
