Drank from a one pint - 16 fl. oz can purchased at Skygazer Brewing Co, Southington, CT
Served in a Rastal Harmony stemless beer glass
A billowing, two-finger tall mass of cream colored bubbles topped the pale yellow body. This looked very similar to frothy pineapple juice. Large white particles could be seen floating throughout the bottom of the liquid. The head slowly fell to a thick, sticky cap. A blanket of chunky lacing coated the entire glass.
Pineapple juice immediately came to mind in the aroma. Sweet and slightly tangy. Banana was also noticeable and really intensified as the beer warmed. Orange juice was noticeable as well. I picked up a bit of a vanilla too. This definitely reminded me of a tropical cocktail or an orange creamsicle.
Orange and pineapple juices came through strongest in the flavor profile. Like the aroma, this was a straight-up juice bomb. Good dose of creamy vanilla too. Again, this reminded me of an orange creamsicle. More sweet and tangy pineapple notes on the back end and the finish. Unfortunately, the banana seemed to be absent.
Nice creamy, soft mouthfeel. Medium bodied for the style. The beer contained a larger bubbled but fairly subtle effervescence that worked nicely for the style.
Multi-fruited juicies typically showcase some fruits and while overlooking others, but this Watercolors release did a fantastic job of representing all the included fruits, along with the vanilla and milk sugar too. While these offerings hardly resemble beer of any kind, they are pretty amazing for what they are.
