Served from the can in a Mickey Finn's shaker pint glass.
And to think I didn't even play the Watercolors to begin with. Anyway, this stuff pours a straight ruby red grapefruit juice topped by a half-finger of dirty white foam. The nose comprises sweet lemon zest (think lemon drop candies), tart grapefruit, blue raspberry Blow Pop (the best flavor, I will fight you on this), and a hint of vanilla. The taste brings in more of the same, providing the experience of blending SweetTarts into a highly drinkable alcoholic package. And I mean that in the best of ways, mind you: You get the tart fruits up front, and then a wave of still-fruity sweetness cuts and balances as she goes. The body is a lithe medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry, sticky finish. Overall, a very tasty little sour that appeals not just to my active tongue, but also to the nostalgic portion of my brain remembering the cool candy I used to enjoy as a lad. Good times all around.
