Drank from a one pint - 16 fl. oz can purchased at Fort Point Market, Boston, MA
02/19/21
Served in a tulip

The beer poured a relatively viscous and completely opaque, bright apricot hue. A fluffy, near finger-tall, off white (with a tinge of apricot) crown topped the body and quickly dissolved. After each sip, a blanket of fine sediment coated the glass.

The aroma was pretty crazy. Apricot came through big time. Really fresh, juicy and sweet. Peach notes were also apparent. There was a bit of a musty peach skin quality too. Peach candy rings also came to mind. Touch of vanilla and/or lactose as well.

The flavor was also impressive and, compared to the nose, surprisingly tart and dry. Again, the stone fruit notes were very prominent. I would probably guess peach versus apricot here however. Really crisp and bright. Lemon notes were apparent in the center. Bit of vanilla and/or lactose too. More fruity tartness and acidity on the back end and the finish.

The mouthfeel was also excellent. Medium-full bodied for the style. Creamy, fluffy and smooth on the palate. The liquid contained a finer bubbled, greater-than-average carbonation that worked very nicely.

Skygazer have been killing it lately with their Synergy Series beers, and this is perhaps my favorite to date. All have sweet, pastry-like aromas and flavor profiles that are surprisingly clean, tart and refreshing. I really hope they keep sending their beers up to the Boston area.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a one pint can on April 13, 2021. The apricot dominates the palate. I would have preferred a little more balance of flavors.
